1. Introduction

Welcome to Crystal Paradise Travels ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website (crystalparadisetravels.com) and the travel services we provide, including but not limited to tour packages, private transport hire, tailor-made itineraries, and related travel arrangements in Sri Lanka.

By accessing our website, submitting an inquiry, or booking any service through Crystal Paradise Travels, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Booking & Reservation

To confirm a booking with Crystal Paradise Travels, the following conditions apply:

• Booking Request: All bookings must be submitted through our website forms, email, or WhatsApp. A booking is considered tentative until confirmed by our team in writing.
• Confirmation: A booking is confirmed only after we send a written confirmation (via email or WhatsApp) with a booking reference number and payment instructions.
• Accuracy of Information: You are responsible for providing accurate personal details, travel dates, passport information, and special requirements. We are not liable for issues arising from incorrect information provided by you.
• Pricing: All prices are quoted in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change until a booking is confirmed and deposit is received. Confirmed prices are guaranteed and will not be changed.

3. Payments

Our payment structure is as follows:

• Tour Packages: To confirm your booking, a 10% advance payment is required. This advance secures hotel reservations, transportation arrangements, and guide allocations, as we pay advance amounts to our service providers. The remaining balance (90%) is paid upon arrival at the airport in Sri Lanka — the full payment should be placed in an envelope and handed to our company representative present at the airport.
• Private Transport: Full payment of the total rental amount is required to confirm your booking, arranged with our team after booking.
• Tailor-Made Tours: Payment terms will be specified in the custom quotation provided by our team.
• How Payment Is Made: After submitting a booking on our website, our team contacts you via WhatsApp with payment options — direct bank transfer to our company account, or a secure online payment link where available. We never collect card details on our website.
• Currency: All prices are quoted in US Dollars (USD). If paying via bank transfer in another currency, the applicable exchange rate at the time of transfer will apply.

4. Cancellation Policy

We understand that travel plans may change. Our cancellation policy varies by service type:

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing (email or WhatsApp) and will be processed within 7–14 business days. Refunds will be made to the original payment method.

5. Amendments & Changes

• Changes to confirmed bookings are subject to availability and may incur an amendment fee of $25 – $50 per change.
• Changes requested less than 7 days before the start date may be treated as cancellations and subject to the cancellation policy.
• Crystal Paradise Travels reserves the right to modify itineraries due to unforeseen circumstances including weather conditions, road closures, natural disasters, government directives, or safety concerns. Alternative arrangements of equal value will be provided when possible.
• Minor changes to hotel accommodations (same star rating and location) do not constitute a material change and will not entitle you to a refund.

6. Travel Documents & Visa

You are solely responsible for obtaining and carrying all necessary travel documents:

• A valid passport with at least 6 months validity from the date of entry into Sri Lanka.
• A valid Sri Lanka Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) or visa as required by your nationality. Most tourists can obtain an ETA online at srilankaeta.gov.lk.
• Any additional permits required for specific activities (e.g., wildlife park entries, cultural site photography permits).

Crystal Paradise Travels is not responsible if you are denied entry to Sri Lanka or any venue due to invalid or missing documents.

7. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering the following:

• Trip cancellation and interruption
• Medical emergencies and hospitalization
• Emergency medical evacuation and repatriation
• Baggage loss, delay, or damage
• Personal liability
• Adventure activities (if applicable, e.g., hiking, safaris, water sports)

Crystal Paradise Travels does not provide travel insurance and shall not be liable for any costs arising from uninsured events.

8. Health & Safety

• You must inform us of any pre-existing medical conditions, allergies, dietary requirements, or mobility limitations at the time of booking so we can make appropriate arrangements.
• We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a booking if a participant's health condition may pose a safety risk to themselves, other travelers, or our staff.
• Pregnant travelers should consult their doctor before booking tours involving long journeys, safaris, or adventure activities.
• You are advised to check recommended vaccinations for Sri Lanka with your healthcare provider before travel.

9. Liability & Responsibilities

Our Liability:

• Crystal Paradise Travels acts as an intermediary between travelers and service providers (hotels, transport companies, guides, activity operators). We carefully select and regularly assess all our partners.
• Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific service or package in question.
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of enjoyment, missed connections, or emotional distress.

What We Are Not Liable For:

• Death, injury, illness, or damage caused by third-party service providers beyond our reasonable control.
• Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings, money, passports, or valuables.
• Flight delays, cancellations, or schedule changes made by airlines.
• Force majeure events: natural disasters, pandemics, political unrest, civil commotion, strikes, or government actions.
• Any activities or excursions undertaken independently outside of our arranged itinerary.
• Failure to obtain proper travel documents or visas.

10. Transport Services

For private vehicle hire and chauffeur services, the following terms specifically apply:

• All vehicles are provided with a professional, English-speaking chauffeur. Chauffeurs are not licensed tour guides unless specifically stated.
• Daily rates include the vehicle, fuel, driver's services, and basic insurance. They do not include parking fees at tourist sites, entrance fees, meals, or accommodation for the driver.
• A standard driving day is approximately 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (10 hours). Extended hours may be arranged at an additional cost, subject to driver availability.
• Passengers must comply with Sri Lankan traffic laws, including mandatory seatbelt use. Crystal Paradise Travels is not liable for injuries resulting from failure to wear seatbelts.
• Smoking and consumption of alcohol are not permitted inside the vehicle.
• The client is responsible for any damage to the vehicle caused by negligence or misuse during the hire period.

11. Behavior & Conduct

• All travelers are expected to behave respectfully towards other guests, our staff, drivers, guides, and the local community.
• Crystal Paradise Travels reserves the right to remove any person from a tour or vehicle if their behavior is disruptive, offensive, dangerous, or violates Sri Lankan law. No refund will be provided in such cases.
• Respect for local customs, religious sites, and cultural norms is expected at all times, particularly when visiting temples and sacred sites (e.g., removing shoes, covering shoulders and knees).

12. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, logos, graphics, tour itineraries, and design elements, is the intellectual property of Crystal Paradise Travels and is protected by copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this website without our prior written consent.

13. Complaints & Disputes

If you have a complaint during your trip, please contact us immediately via phone or WhatsApp so we can attempt to resolve the issue in real time. If a resolution cannot be reached during the trip, please submit a written complaint within 7 days of the tour end date to reservations@crystalparadisetravels.com.

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.

14. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
